Knit in washable and velvety hand dyed Kelson DK, this Kit contains a 50 gram skein of Brown Bear, enough for swatching and making without excessive leftovers. For Little Bear’s cap and clothing, two classic shades of Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift (a standard-bearer of Shetland yarn) are included. A tidy amount of embroidery floss in two shades round out all the preliminary materials you’ll need to make an endearing Little Bear.

Each Kit Includes…

  • A 50g skein (122 yards) of Kelson DK, 75% superwash merino and 25% nylon, in color Brown Bear (Yarn A)

  • Two 25g balls (115 yards each) of Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift, 100% pure Shetland Wool in Highland Mist (Yarn B) and Natural White (Yarn C)

  • Black embroidery thread (for eyes and mouth)

  • Off-white embroidery thread (for eyes)

You Will Also Need

  • A Little Bear pattern, available at Frog & Cast

  • A set of double pointed needles, US 1 (2.25 mm)

  • A few stitch markers, including a removable option

  • A small amount of waste yarn

  • A bundle of pellets, ground walnut shells, stuffing or non-perishable goods for filling the body
